At almost 7 and a half thousand, the majority of the reports related to people who may be working while on the dole.
Whilst almost four and a half thousand reports were made about single parents living with a partner – which is against cohabitation rules.
The Social Protection Minister Joan Burton will give a full account of the figures later today – and just how much money her Department has saved.
