One of the world’s most powerful men, the Chinese Vice President travels to County Clare for a two day visit this weekend.
Mr Xi Jinping will jet into Shannon Airport on Saturday afternoon where he’ll be greeted by the Tainaiste Eamon Gilmore before heading to Shannon Development.
The Vice President of the People’s Republic of China will then attend a dinner at Bunratty Castle hosted by Mr Gilmore while on Sunday he will pay a visit to a dairy farm in Sixmilebridge before a private trip to the Cliffs of Moher..
He will then jet out of Shannon Airport for Dublin where he will travel to Croke Park before being greeted by Taoiseach Enda Kenny for official talks at Dublin Castle where Mr Kenny has promised to raise issues regarding human rights with Mr Jinping who will be the next president of China.
