Further details have emerged about the proposed heat and power facility in the Shannon area, amid claims that it can create and sustain hundreds of local jobs in County Clare.
Carbon Sole’s application for connection to the national grid has been deemed completed, and the firm are awaiting a decision from the Commission for Energy Regulation.
Locals however are opposed to the project, and planning permission has yet to be granted.

Shannon Senator Tony Mulcahy, who is also Seanad spokesman on Spokesman on Energy, Communications and Natural Resources, says the project can be good for all of County Clare.
