ICTU will today decide whether to recommend a YES or NO vote in the fiscal treaty referendum on May 31st.
The executive will meet to discuss the issue, but there’s been speculation that Congress may leave it up to individual unions to direct their membership.

Three trade unions – Mandate, Unite and the TEEU – have already said they would be advocating a NO vote in the ballot.
A lobby will be held outside today’s ICTU meeting by the United Left Alliance, which wants Congress to reject the fiscal compact treaty.
