Clare home-owners are being urged to always seek ID from strange callers as garda hunt a conman who’s posing as a senior officer in an effort to gain access to houses.

He’s described as 5 foot 8 in height, in his late twenties to early thirties, with dark curly hair and Gardaí believe he may be driving a dark coloured car, possibly a Renault Laguna.
