Taoiseach wants Progress & Prosperity in Shannon

The Taoiseach has said the government will deliver plans for Shannon Airport’s future development and prosperity in the coming weeks.

Enda Kenny was speaking in the Shannon Free Zone this afternoon where he officially launched Transaero Engineering Ireland, when he was asked about the government’s plans for Ireland’s airport following the recommendations of the Booz report.

Minister Leo Varadkar is expected to announce how Shannon will be seperated from the Dublin Airport Authority in the next two weeks, so the Taoiseach wouldn’t comment on his own views about the future of the Mid-Wests main economic driver.

But speaking to Clare FM, Enda Kenny said he wants to see Shannon grow and progress in the interests of local jobs.
