Forensic tests are being carried out a silver Audi used in an armed robbery in Ennis over the weekend.
The incident happened at Ladbrokes on the Turnpike shortly after half seven on Saturday evening as staff were closing up for the night.
Two men armed with a shotgun entered the premises and threatened the employees before making off with around 400 euro in cash.
A third raider was waiting in a silver Audi A 5 outside – The three raiders then abandoned this car – registration 09 D 2410, a short distance away in "Glen Gardens"
Superintendent Gerry Wall, who is heading up the investigation, is particularly eager to trace the movements of this vehicle in the time frame leading up to the raid.
