The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable improvised explosive device in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
The team deployed to the Ordinance Survey road area of the park last night, after a request from gardaí .

Disposal operations didn’t begin until first light, with the team making the device safe and declaring the alert over at about 10.40 this morning.
The device will now be handed over to the gardaí for further investigation.
