Clare Gardaí say they’re concerned about a rise in drink driving offences across the county this May Bank Holiday weekend.
A total of 7 people were arrested on suspicion of the offence, up from just 1 arrest for the corresponding weekend last year.

Instances of public order offences also rose by around 30% to 35.
Ennis Garda Albert Hardiman says motorists need to be aware of new lower blood alcohol limits and is warning that Gardaí will catch those who drink and drive.
