Aviva has slashed the number of people it was planning to let go from its insurance business. After announcing 950 job cuts in October, the company says a maximum of 540 jobs will be lost, and they’ll be on a voluntary basis.
It’s also announced that 220 new jobs are being created in Galway – through the opening of a new insurance claims and direct sales centres of excellence for Ireland and UK.
