Approximatly 2000 people turned out for a walk in aid a group to prevent suicide and self-harm in Ennis this morning.
The Darkness into Light walk in aid of Pieta House, took place at Lees road at 4am with orgainisers reporting a large increase on numbers from last year’s inaugral walk.
The event was led by Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald as well as a number of county senior players
The counselling and support service has reported a significant increase in the number of young people seeking help from its services with a 93 per cent increase in the number of people aged under 18 making contact last year – and most of these were young women.
