Ennis Town Councillors are to lobby the Environment Minister to protect the future of their roles.
As Minister Phil Hogan prepares to announce the results of a review of local government later this year, there’s an uncertain future for Town Councils in Shannon, Kilrush and Kilkee and councillors in Ennis have called a special meeting to highlight the work they do.

Some Councillors hit out at Clare TDs saying they don’t want to know about pressing local issues like health services, housing needs and anti-social behaviour.
