Gardaí are investigating an aggravated robbery in Kilrush in which an elderly man was injured
The incident happened shortly after midnight last Saturday as the victim was making his way home to the John Paul Estate from a night out in the West Clare Town.

He was attacked and robbed of a number of items as he passed through Malthouse Lane.
The elderly man also suffered a head injury during the incident which required treatment.
Kilrush Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
