Transport Department insists Shannon steering group details not released

The Transport Department has denied its released any details regarding the steering group being established to oversee the separation of Shannon Airport from the DAA.

A weekend report in the Irish Times has named a six person task force it says have been set up to advise the government on future plans for Clare’s International Airport.

The article claims the team includes includes former  executive with the Shannon based aviation aviation leasing group, Rose Hynes- who’s also a former airport director as well as Eamon Brennan- CEO of the Irish Aviation Authority.
 

However a spokesperson for the Transport Minister says no announcement has been made on the matter by the department and added that they would be making no comment in relation to the reports on the issue.

The government is expected to make an announcement this week in regards to the steering committee that will oversee the seperation from the DAA
