Mitt Romney has won the Texas presidential primary – securing the Republican nomination for November’s US election.
The former Massachusetts governor surpassed the 1-thousand-144 delegates he needed.

Romney was the only Republican still actively campaigning in Texas to have the right to challenge Barrack Obama for the White House.
