Multiple Sclerosis Ireland is facing increasing challenges with a 14% rise in demand for their services.

Today is World MS Day and MS Sclerosis Ireland is calling for their funding to be protected as well as improve access to treatments for people with the progressive neurological condition.

160 people in Clare are registered as having MS with the local branch of MS Ireland which provides support services throughout the local region.

Lisseycasey mother-of-two Aideen Hayes told Clare fm there is hope for MS patients with the right treatments and supports.
