Ireland’s passed the fiscal treaty referendum.
First results from the 43 constituencies around the country are now in – with a national declaration later this afternoon.
It’s expected six constituencies will reject the treaty, but the national Yes vote will exceed 55%.
Tipperary South won the race to be the first to declare a result – 60.65% voting yes there.
They’ve now been followed by Yes votes in Galway West and Waterford, Limerick City and Kildare North.
The picture is set to be reflected across the country – with just six constitueuncies likely to vote NO.
They are Donegal North East and South West, Cork North Central, and three in Dublin – North West, Mid West and the South Central Constituency could too where the final tally was effectively 50-50.
