A record 93 Clare schools have received the prestigious Green Flag Award, to honour their work for the environment.
182 thousand euro has been saved across the county as a result of the scheme, which has seen schools enter into an environmental management system and award scheme that acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.

The scheme has been run by An Taisce, who have presented 13 Clare schools with the Green Flag for the first time.
