Shannon Aer Lingus passengers could find out today if they face disruption to their July holiday plans.
The company’s engineering staff are threatening to down tools in a row with management over moves to transfer its maintenance operations from the Mid West Airport to Dublin.

This could result in over fifty local redundancies and workers are adamant they won’t accept this.
They meet with union officials from SIPTU, TEEU and Unite today to discuss their next step and haven’ ruled out a strike which would ground Aer Lingus planes.
Newmarket-on-Fergus Councillor Pat McMahon is hopeful that a deal can be found.
