Today is World Refugee Day, and once more the occasion will be marked with an event in Ennis.
Songs, poetry and the reading of a book by Ennis-based refugee Hassan Faramarz will form part of the event, which is being organised by a number of groups including Clare Intercultural Network and Clare Immigrant Support Centre.

Proceedings at the Old Ground Hotel get underway at 11:00.
There are 45 million refugees worldwide, Orla Ni Eili of the Clare Immigrant Support Centre has told Clare FM’s The Today Show that she believes Ireland and it’s people can make a difference in their lives.
