A little boy who picked up an explosive device outside his house in Co. Wicklow this morning, has lost a number of his fingers as a result of the incident.
The device had been left outside the child’s house at Sycamore Drive in Newtownmountkennedy when he picked it up at about 8 o’clock this morning.

Experts are trying to establish whether the device was a pipe-bomb.
