Parts of Cork city and county have been hit by serious flooding following overnight downpours.
Homes and businesses have been flooded – with many roads remaining impassable.

Blackpool, Douglas, Glanmire and Clonakilty are among the worst affected areas
Flood waters are also causing difficulties in parts of Tipperary, Sligo Kildare and Meath.
Over a dozen county councils have also been put on flood alert by Met Eireann with heaviest showers are predicted over Munster, Leinster and Connacht.
