The government’s being urged to intervene in an industrial dispute which has the potential to ground travel plans for passengers at Shannon Cork and Dublin.
Yesterday, staff at the former national along with Dublin Airport Authority Workers at the three airports voted in favour of strike action over reduced pension entitlements.

However, the unions involved say they’re willing to engage in negotiations with management – and therefore they don’t think the travelling public will be affected for the time being.
But Fianna Fáil’s Transport Spokesperson, and Clare TD Timmy Dooley says the Government can’t take any risks.
