700 commercial units and business premises in Clare are lying idle and empty.
New figures show the vast majority of these are in Ennis – which has a vacancy rate of 11 percent – amounting to 230 vacant units, and Kilrush – where 67 vacant premises were identified.

The figures have been compiled by Geo Directory which was jointly established by An Post and Ordnance Survey Ireland and provides the only complete database of property in Ireland.
