Tourism providers in West Clare have been given a much-needed boost with news that the opening times of Loop Head Lighthouse is to be extended.
The Lighthouse was due to close after Monday next, but Clare County Council has now announced that it will continue to open it’s doors each Saturday and Sunday throughout September

The extension of the opening period follows on from a successful summer season that has seen 15,870 people visit the 19th century landmark building, among them An Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
