The home of a West Clare family was extensively damaged during a lightening strike over the weekend.
Its reported today that the Haugh family near Farrihy in Kilkee had a hole blown in their roof while two bedroom ceilings collapsed and electrical appliances exploded around the house.

The incident happened shortly after 4 o’clock on Saturday and its believed the lightening came in through the phone line.
