Shannon’s local representatives are expected to formulate their plan of action this evening against the government’s proposal to abolish town Councils.
It comes as their colleagues in Ennis backed calls from Kilrush Town Council to form a joint strategy of opposition including all four local authorities , describing Minister Phil Hogan’s plans as a hatchet job.
