Favourable ranking for Ennis General in latest HSE report

Clare’s County Hospital has rated well in the HSE’s latest Performance report.

While the overall health service is running a budget deficit of 399 million euro through to the end of September, new figures reveal that Ennis General is the only acute hospital in Ireland where spending is ahead of target.

Across the Mid-West, however, spending on acute hospitals is 15% or 24.4 million euro over budget.

Absenteeism at Ennis General is also down on recent months, but at 6.7% it is among the highest figures reported nationwide.  Clare’s local health office reports a similar number.
