A convicted sex offender from East Clare who stole more than 20 thousand euro in a "graves for sale" scam has been jailed for two years.
At Ennis Circuit Court, Judge Carroll Moran imposed the sentence on 61 year old Seán Leamy of Main Street, Tulla, for defrauding Clare County Council over 10 years.

It emerged during the proceedings that the 61 year old – who was jailed for 6 years last May for abusing boys was also stealing from the council by not passing on grave plot fees he received from grieving families.
Judge Moran said the sentence is to run concurrently to Leamy’s current prison term.
