A man in his late 50’s has been killed in an industrial accident in County Longford.
The Bord na Mona worker was fatally injured at the Lough Ree power station in Lanesborough at about ten to one this morning.

The man’s body has been removed to Mullingar General Hospital.
Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the incident.
