In 2011, 8-thousand women and more than 3-thousand children received support from domestic violence services.

Last year these services answered 42-thousand helpline calls and nearly 3-thousand women were turned away from refuges that were already full-up.
Safe Ireland says domestic violence services are being stretched to capacity.
