The 15 million euro project saw the construction of Ireland’s first ‘Sari’ compliant medical unit, with all patients accommodated in single rooms in a bid to cut down on so-called ‘superbugs’.
Hospital manager Frank Keane feels the new unit shows a commitment to Ennis General, one which he insists will remain in place into the future.
