FF questions why horse meat controversy wasn’t flagged earlier

Fianna Fáil’s raising questions about why the Agriculture Minister only found out about horse meat in burgers this week.

That’s despite the first test results coming back positive last November.

The Taoiseach says he’s confident Irish food manufacturers can escape any damage caused by the horse meat scandal.

Tests are continuing at one of the suppliers involved to see if horse DNA is still in the manufacturing system.
