Waitrose pulls burgers from shelves over horse meat controversy

The British supermarket chain Waitrose is the latest retailer to pull beefburgers from its shelves in the horsemeat controversy.

The supermarket has removed frozen burgers made by Dalepak – one of the firms at the centre of the investigation – despite tests showing they were 100 percent beef.

The Department of Agriculture is to release the results of further tests – although its not clear when the results will be made public.
