It’s emerged the missing Gort property developer found wandering at the side of rural road in Leitrim was mutilated and had an insult carved across his forehead.
Kevin McGeever who’s currently in hospital told Gardaí that he was abducted eight months ago by three armed and masked men in the garden of his mansion in Craughwell.
His partner reported him missing to Gort Gardaí at the time – and he was discovered in a dishevelled and disorientated state near Ballinamore on Tuesday night.
Gardaí are trying to establish whether he had been held across the Border before he was dumped in Co Leitrim.
During the boom Mr McGeever ran a successful property business – He’s currently listed in legal proceedings before the High Court in a case being taken against KMM Properties.
