Residents in West Clare are being asked to take part in the National Famine Commemoration event to be held in Kilrush in May.
President Michael D Higgins will lead the official representation at the formal ceremony, which will bring an end to ten days of events taking place in and around Kilrush.

A public meeting is being held at Kilrush Golf Club at 7:00 this evening, with community leaders and group representatives invited.
