Several flights from Shannon to and from New York and Boston have been affected today as the US braces itself for a powerful storm.
The 9 AM United Airlines flight from the Mid West Airport to Newark JFK was cancelled while passengers on the British Airways flights to the US at 14.50 and 18.00 this evening are asked to contact the airline.

All inbound Aer Lingus flights from the US to Dublin have also been cancelled -today with the exception of the Chicago to Dublin- route and many outbound flights have also been hit.
Delta services are also affected and further disruption is expected tomorrow.
