Companies in Romania, Cyprus, the Netherlands and France have now been implicated in the horse meat scandal, as retailers pull products from their shelves and urgent inquires are under way.
In the UK there are calls for a temporary ban on importing EU meat.

Frozen food giant Findus has lodged a legal complaint in France after evidence showed the presence of horse meat in its supply chain "was not accidental".
Authorities in France are investigating if Findus and processing firm Comigel knew their products had been tainted.
