Killaloe Bishop Kieran O’Reilly  – who was formerly the Superior General of the Society of African Missionaries – worked previously with a number of cardinals who could be in line for the job of Pope, including Peter Turkson from Ghana, and Robert Sara- from Guinea.

Asked about speculation that a black Pope may be elected  Bishop O’Reilly told Clare FM’s it’s a real possibility.
