The government says it is considering calls from Clare Oireachtas members to extend the fuel rebate already granted to hauliers to operators of coach tours.
Senator Martin Conway has raised the matter in the Seanad in recent weeks, while the Dáil heard calls for the extension of the scheme from Fianna Fail Transport Spokesman and Clare TD Timmy Dooley.

Junior Minister Brian Hayes says the Clare representatives’ suggestions are being considered.
