Staff at Ennis General are under pressure this afternoon with six people awaiting treatment at the county hospital.
Queues are also recorded at other hospitals in the region, with 16 people on trolleys and chairs at Limerick Regional.

Daily figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation have also revealed that 14 people are on trolleys at University Hospital Galway.
