Climate Gathering Conference taking place in North Clare

President Michael D. Higgins is holding a lunchtime reception at Aras an Uachtaráin today for the participants in a Climate Gathering which begins in Ballyvaughan tomorrow.

Over 50 experts from over 10 countries will travel to the Burren College of Art to discuss climate change at an event supported by the Tony Ryan Trust.

Organiser and former Green Party Minister Eamon Ryan says the issue of climate change remains an important issue, and is hopeful this weekend’s talks will make a lasting difference.

He also feels Clare is the ideal host for such a summit.
