Protest rally over Croke Park Cuts

Union representatives say they’ll continue to fight for a fair deal on an extension of the Croke Park agreement for front-line workers.

Talks resume today between the Government and trade unions, as both parties try to hammer out a deal that will see savings of a billion euro from the public sector pay and pensions bill.

Front line Public Servants are to hold a rally in protest at the proposed cuts in Dublin later this evening, as rank-and-file gardaí announce they’ll refuse to use their own cars, phones and laptops for official duty from next Friday.
