A two day garda campaign to crack down on motorists who’s vehicles have broken or missing headlights gets underway today.
Its all part of a joint initiative with the Road Safety Authority called Light Up.

Gardaí at dedicated checkpoints will hand out 60 euro on the spot fines to road users with faulty lights
Officers will also be targeting motorists who use their fog lights incorrectly – as they can dazzle, distract other drivers and cause collisions if they are turned on when there’s no fog or falling snow
