26 of Clare’s rural roads are to be given a facelift thanks to an investment of over half a million euro from the Department of Transport.
377 projects nationally have been given the go-ahead under the community involvement scheme which sees residents along local roads where the works will be carried out contribute between 20 and 50 per cent of the overall cost.

Government has granted over 570,000 euro for works in Clare, with an additional sum of around 150,000 euro coming from local communities.
