A third person is now being quizzed by Limerick Gardaí over a serious assault on a former West Clare resident.
34 year old Patrick Byrnes of Patrickswell- who also lived in Knockalough in Kilmihil was set upon with a hammer in Limerick City on Tuesday afternoon.

He’s being treated for serious head injuries in hospital.
Initially -Two people – a man in his 20’s and a woman in her late teens were arrested in connection with the assault – then yesterday Gardaí also arrested a male teenager – All three are being Roxboro Road garda station
