The RNLI came to the aid of 11 people in two separate incidents in Lough Derg over the weekend.
In both cases the vessels became grounded on rocks but there were no injuries.
On Saturday night Valentia Coastguard requested the RNLI Lifeboat to assist six people on board a 33ft cruiser, aground close to Terryglass at the northern end of the lake.
After establishing there was no damage to the vessel – the RNLI crew then towed the boat to open water.
In a similar incident on Sunday five people got into difficulty after their 43ft cruiser grounded on rocks inside The Goat Road, on the eastern shore of Lough Derg- Again the rescue boat successfully towed to safe water.
