A temporary closure order served against the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis has now been lifted.
Officials from the HSE served the order against the secretary of Duesbury Ltd., trading as the Old Ground Hotel, last Thursday, ordering the closure of kitchens, the Poets Corner Bar and ancillary food areas at it’s O’Connell St. premises.

The hotel said it came after an issue was identified with it’s drainage system, following recent refurbishment works.
A spokesperson for the Food Safety Authority of Ireland has confirmed to Clare FM that the HSE has lifted this order today, meaning the hotel is now free to trade as normal once more.
