Support for Shannon Airport is one of the top priorities for Clare County Council in the year ahead, according to the new Mayor and his Deputy.
As Ruan Councillor Joe Arkins became the first citizen of Clare he stressed that new routes at the independent airport must be supported if they’re to prosper and grow further.

His fellow fine Gael Councillor, Sixmilebridge Shopkeeper John Crowe was elected as Deputy Mayor of Clare, and urged the entire council to work towards a stronger airport to create more good news for the local economy
