Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a serious two vehicle collision in East Clare last evening.
A man in his 20s remains in a critical condition in hospital, after two cars travelling in opposite directions collided at Lough Bridget on the main Ennis-Scarriff road, around 3km from Bodyke, at around 5:20.

Six others were hurt in the incident, including four children, though their injuries are not serious.
The road was closed overnight to allow for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, though it has since re-opened.
